Tryouts

The Mid-Atlantic Rugby Football Union (MARFU) U19 Women's All Star team will be holding a series of tryouts to select a squad for the 2008 INASC (Invitational National All-Star Championships).  This year's event will take place in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

The squad is open to any female born on or after January 1, 1989 and plays within the territory.  Coaches for this year's program are Kevin Castner and Tony DeRemer.  The first two events are OPEN tryouts - no recommendations are required.  If you cannot make EITHER open tryout, you will not be considered for the team. 

After the open tryouts, the rest of the assemblies will be for selected players only.  Players should be highly motivated, competitive, and fit, with a solid grasp of basic rugby skills.  If you have any doubts - COME!!

Confirmation for tryout is recommended, but not required.  Confirm with your name, email, club/school, and positional preferences to:

10-4pm
All players must be Cipp'd and have insurance
Please bring water, appropriate rugby gear, and a bag lunch

Will compete in the annual LAU tournament with the EPRU,PRU, and VRU U23 All Star teams

At this year's tournament the Women's National Team will play an intra squad scrimmage.  This match will be the last game of the day on Saturday. The WNT staff will be on hand observing this year's event.
