Rugby Virginia Tournament 2010

Youth Summer Rugby Tournament

Dates: Saturday July 31 & Sunday August 1, 2010

Location: Hooes Road Park, 7233 Hooes Road, Springfield, VA

Note: The Rugby Virginia Tournament is part of the Coventry Commonwealth Games of Virginia.

Schedule:

Saturday July 31: Tag rugby in U-9, U-11, U-13, and U-15 age groups.
Games will run 9:00am-4:00pm. Coaches meeting at 8:30am.

Sunday August 1: Boys tackle in U-13, U-15, and U-17 age groups; and girls tackle.
Games will run 9:00am-4:00pm. Coaches meeting at 8:30am.

For Club Leaders: Note these requirements related to team entries:

Due Friday July 23: Official team declarations emailed to Jeff Rupp. If you need to merge with another club, work that out ASAP.

Due Sunday July 25 to Jeff Rupp (actual paperwork must be in Jeff's hands by this date):

• Team rosters

• Rugby Virginia waivers for all players, organized on team-by-team basis with team rosters.

• Coventry Commonwealth Games waivers for all players, organized on team-by-team basis with team rosters.

Entry fees for all declared teams ($35 per team for tag, $45 per team for tackle). Checks payable to SYC Rugby. Click for blank receipt.

Late or incomplete paperwork may result in your team’s exclusion from the tournament.

Due at the tournament: Photocopied proof of age for players and copy of CIPP roster.

General Info:

Concessions, tournament t-shirts, and misc rugby merchandise will be available for sale.

A certified athletic trainer will be on site Sunday for the tackle portion of the tournament.
