Rugby Virginia Summer Tournament

Venue

The tournament will be held on Saturday & Sunday August 2-3, 2008, with touch rugby on Saturday and tackle rugby on Sunday.  SYC Rugby ( Springfield Youth Club )will host at Hooes Road Park in Springfield, Va., the same location as last year.   (Directions to Hooes Road Park)

Touch Rugby

For touch rugby, there will be U-9, U-11, U-13, and U-15 age groups, all playing 7-a-side.

Tackle Rugby

For tackle rugby, there will be U-13, U-15, and U-17 age groups for the boys, playing 11-a-side. 

There will also be a girls tackle division.

Player Eligibilty

Player eligibility for a given age group is determined by their age on July 1 of the playing season.  Note that U-[age] means "under that age" and NOT "that age and under." So, for example, to be eligible for U-11, it means a player must still be 10 yrs old on July 1.  For U-15, the player must still be 14 as of July 1. And so on.

Club and player CIPP is required, as are photocopies of proof of age.
